Overview
Ferzz is a two-sided on-demand delivery service: customers request a pickup or a purchase, motorcycle couriers accept and deliver. I built both apps — first in React Native, then rewritten entirely in Flutter.
Customer app
- Two request types: "pick up this item and deliver it" and "buy these items and bring them to me".
- Rich requests with images, text and voice notes.
- Real-time order tracking, online and cash payments.
Courier app
- Nearby delivery requests, accept and manage orders.
- Status flow: picked up → in transit → delivered.
- Earnings and payment history.
Real-time communication
Live order updates and in-app chat (text, image, voice) between customer and courier, on top of a PHP REST API and MySQL.
Why the Flutter rewrite
Two apps that share most of their models and networking code, with complex state on low-end Android devices. Flutter gave us one language for both apps, shared packages and noticeably smoother performance.
